Wayne, Thom VII will never think to look here ... :)

Your big local story of the week could be that anyone visiting Belfast (gain a point for meeting LTA's remit) and having one too many in the welcoming city centre hostelries on a Friday or Saturday evening, will now be able to get a late night bus home from Shaftesbury Square.

Just need to keep £3 in your pocket, and you'll be able to catch a buses operating on four routes through east, west and south Belfast. Last bus leaves at 02:45.

Details should be updated shortly at, and the original story is from the BBC at

In fact, it's just been bettered by the daft decision to rename Belfast City Airport in honour of George Best - "a permanent memorial to a son of East Belfast" - though they won't reveal the exact new name of the airport until the rename event in May.

If Liverpool could rename to John Lennon, then Belfast follows suit ...
